Santiago Amador has worked in Public Policy for the last 20 years, especially in Internet and ICT policy, social inequality, public innovation, innovation in education, and social inclusion. He was the Director of Internet Policy at the Ministry of ICT of Colombia, building and implementing the award-wining technology plan “Vive Digital.”

Currently, he is the Director of iBO The Public Innovation Laboratory of Bogotá and the Director of The iTeam founded by Bloomberg Philanthropies . He is also cofounder and partner at  Diseño Público ( a consultancy firm on Social Innovation and Social Design) Board Member of Colombia EdTech , Senior Advisor at the Ministry of ICT and the former director of the Master's program on Innovation at Areandina University. He holds a Masters degree  in Social Science of the Internet at the University of Oxford and a Master degree  in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. His research interests are Digital Gaps, Digital Citizenship, Public Innovation, technology for people with disabilities, technology for education, GovTech and social innovation.
