Burcu Baykurt is an assistant professor of media studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research focuses on the critical study of technology and culture and their role in reshaping social inequalities. She is the co-editor of Soft-Power Internationalism: Competing for Cultural Influence in the 21st Century Global Order and working on a book about smart cities and urban inequalities.
