Hi, I'm Josh Goldstein, a masters candidate at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a graduate research assistant at Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet & Society.
I
mostly write and research about Africa. Specifically, my main interests
are the role of information technology in economic development and
political change, as well as the role of the United States on the
African continent (see sidebar for recent publications).
Prior to Berkman, I worked as a program officer for USAID’s Northern Uganda Peace Initiative (NUPI),
helping to advise the Government of Uganda on a comprehensive plan for
post-conflict reconciliation. Between 2005-2007, I helped start and
direct Global Youth Partnership for Africa (GYPA), a 501(c)3 that brings together American and African youth leaders.
I am a staff editor of the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs and and proud and active member of the Global Voices Online community. I blog at Harvard's I&DBlog, and generally love writing of all sorts.
