Berkman Luncheon Series

Today's guest speaker is Dr. Ulf Mueller, a legal scholar at the Institute for Information, Telecommunication and Media Law at the University of Muenster (Germany). He will be discussing a current research project, "Re-Territorialization of Internet Market Definition?", aimed at exploring the question as to what extent markets for online products such as online music, e-books, downloadable software, etc. are truly global markets vis-a-vis, for instance, language barriers, varying customer preferences, and different legal regimes. This question of the geographic market definition is crucial in the context of antitrust and competition law, respectively, and will have an impact on law's ability to effectively address existing antitrust problems in cyberspace.

This event will take place on Tuesday, May 10th at 12:30pm in the Berkman Center conference room, located at 1587 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge.  Lunch is provided for RSVPs only.
