An Old Boys' Blogging Club?

Steven Levy’s column in the upcoming issue of Newsweek reports on a recent Harvard conference, and explores why, since anyone can write a blog, the top rung of the blogosphere is dominated by white males. Levy quotes one conference-goer’s reply: The problem stems from an overabundance of “… white people linking to other white people!” Levy also cites the Berkman-affiliated Global Voices as one project that is working to diversify the blogosphere. In response to Levy’s column, Global Voices has posted some of the interesting aggregator sites from around the world that link to multiple bloggers in their community, country, and/or continent.
