Participants are responsible for reserving their
own accommodations while attending the Program. The cost of

that participants reside in Cambridge for the duration of the program.
Group discounts at the following hotels are available.

It is not comparable to hotel accommodations and does not offer
amenities such as air conditioning, television, maid service, food

of linens is provided and changed every other day. Telephones
and fans are available for an additional fee and their use must

including a Boston Red Sox baseball game on the evening of July
5th. Details will be provided in the registration packets
on your arrival. Casual dress is appropriate for all events.
MEALS
Program fees do not include the cost of meals, except
for daily lunch, snacks and dinner at two social events. The

a variety of light breakfast items from 7:30 a.m., Monday through
Friday.
CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION
CREDIT (CLE)
Berkman Center programs have been approved for continuing
legal education (CLE) credits by every state to which we have applied.
State mandatory CLE guidelines vary, and students bear the responsibility
of informing the staff on how to report information and to what
organizations. It is very important that the CLE section on the
registration form be completed by participants seeking credits.
Generally, courses have been approved for 7.5 CLE hours (maximum
30 credits possible per week; depending on the state). Harvard Law
School is a State Bar of California MCLE-approved provider. CLE
credit is only available to American attorneys.
INTERNATIONAL
PARTICIPATION
Professionals from around the world are invited
to participate in the Internet Law Program. However, courses
are conducted in English only. A working knowledge of English
is necessary.
Under the United States Visa Waiver Program, visas
are not required to attend the Program if your trip is under 90
days, you have a return/onward ticket on a carrier participating
in the Visa Waiver Program and you are a citizen of one of the following
26 countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei,
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan,
Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand,
Norway, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the
United Kingdom. All other nationals require a visa and should contact
their local Embassy or Consulate for more information. Please
allow sufficient time for processing your visa application.
WITHDRAWAL/CANCELLATION
POLICY:
Cancellations received on or before June 1, 2002
are eligible for a refund. No refunds can be made after that
date. There will be a $150 administrative cancellation fee.
PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
Parking on campus is by special permit only.
There is metered parking along Massachusetts Avenue and garage
parking in Harvard Square, just a few blocks from Harvard Law School.
Participants are encouraged to use public transportation whenever
possible. The Law School is conveniently located on the MBTA
subway and bus lines. For information about transportation,
including transportation to and from the airport, visit http://www.massport.org.

CERTIFICATES
OF ATTENDANCE
A formal certificate of participation will be distributed
to all participants after completion of the Program provided tuition
is paid in full. If participants from other countries require certification,
a letter of attendance can be supplied upon request.
DRESS
Casual dress is appropriate for all Program functions,
classes and receptions. Participants are encouraged to dress for
comfort. July in Cambridge can be warm and humid or damp and cool,
so plan to bring light clothing along with a sweater or light weight
jacket.
FACILITIES FOR
THE DISABLED
Harvard University has made a substantial commitment
to making all of its programs and facilities accessible to disabled
students. With very few exceptions, the buildings at Harvard Law
School and most of Harvard University's essential buildings are
accessible to students with mobility impairments. Applicants who
have special needs addressed by the Americans with Disabilities
Act are asked to notify the Program office at least three weeks
before the Program begins.
