On the dvd-discuss list, participants have been poking holes in plaintiffs'
deposition testimony and expert declarations, most recently that of Michael
Shamos, who claims to have used DeCSS to convert a DVD movie to DivX ;-)
format and then shared it with someone he met through IRC.

Ole Craig, a dvd-discuss participant, gave a brilliant deposition on the
impracticalities of Internet file transfer for DVD movies.

dvd-discuss is now honing arguments against plaintiffs' authority model to
demonstrate that there is no effective technological protection measure for
DeCSS to "circumvent." Add your thoughts to the list or the discussion
board at <http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/HyperNews/get3/opendvd.html>
