Jolyne Melmed-Sanjak
Jolyne Melmed-Sanjak is an Agricultural economist with specialization
in development economics. She has provided technical assistance in
several regions (including Central and South America) for government
agencies, international institutions and private organizations
(including USAID, IBRD, IADB, FAO, the Land Tenure Center, and
Chemonics). Her career history combines teaching a broad range of
courses with extensive interdisciplinary experience in applied policy
analysis. She has demonstrated leadership in all phases of policy
research and implementation projects including project planning,
design and management, survey methods, field-level implementation,
data base management, statistical analysis and information
dissemination. Dr. Sanjak possesses strong communication skills
that have made it possible to work in a variety of countries and to
present her work to a wide range of audiences. She has presented
her work to Latin American government officials, technical staff,
media, and national and local farmer organizations as well as to
management and technical staff of international institutions, to U.S.
government agencies and to academia.
