Ruben Mejia Pena

Ruben Mejia Pena studied Political Sciences at the University of El Salvador. From 1991 to 1999 he occupied the following positions: Chief of the Support area for the executive body of the Juridical Support Unit (ATJ), Viceminister of Justice, Minister of Justice, and Presidet of the Advising Board of the National Center of Registry. At the Banco Capitalizador he served as Juridical Adviser, Chief of the Juridical Department, and Legal Advisor from 1987 to 1991. From 1978 to 1987 he was the Chief of the Juridical department of the Juridical Commission Hidroelectrica del Rio Lempa (CEL). from 1967 to 1978 he occupied various positions as an Administrative and Juridical Adviser some of which were Juridical Advisor for the Mission of Technical Assistance of the International Office of Labor (OIT), Member of the Juridical and Social Commission of the Association of Social Safety Institutions of Central America and Panama (AISSCAP), and Juridical Adviser of the Department of Pensions.
