Sergio Leonardo Mijangos Penagos is a Lawyer and Notary specialized in Commercial Law at the University of Rafael Landivar in Guatemala City. He is presently working as the Coordinator of the Office of the General Registry of Property in El Peten, and as an external advisor in a project of the Banco Interamericano para el Dessarrollo that has to do with the Analysis for Legal Regulation of Science and Technology in Guatemala. In 1993 he also served the Bank as an advisor in a project for the Juridical Analysis of the Health Sector. Other positions he has filled are the following: General Registrator of Commerce of Guatemala, General Secretary of the Public Ministry (General Office of Treasury), and General Secretary of the General Registry of Property.
