Neal Cohen

Neal Cohen is a New York and English qualified lawyer in the Privacy & Security practice group at Perkins Coie LLP where he assists multinational organizations with their European and global data protection and privacy law compliance strategies.  This frequently includes advising on privacy and security policies, terms and conditions for use, data security breaches, interactions with governmental authorities, the cross-border transfer of personal data, cloud computing, big data, mobile applications and data privacy lobbying strategies.

Prior to joining Perkins Coie in the United States, Neal spent several years practicing in London at another US multinational law firm and before that, as a law clerk in the Privacy Office at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

As a fellow at the Berkman Center, Neal will research and analyze the global convergence of data protection and privacy laws and their greater impact on society.
