Maria Lillà Montagnani

Maria Lillà Montagnani is associate professor of commercial law at Bocconi University in Milan, where she teaches and researches in the field of Intellectual Property Law. She is head of ASK, a research center devoted to the promotion of cultural planning and cultural institutions management activities. Her current research interest is "Copyright and Architecture", in particular, the role of new technologies in facilitating civic engagement in relation to urban and architectural spaces. In short, the relationship among IP, new technologies and landscape is the topic that will occupy her for the next years. She is also part of the steering committee of ISHTIP, the International Society for History and Theory of Intellectual Property.

Before joining Bocconi University, Lillà took a PhD in competition law and attended the LLM in IP law at Queen Mary University of London. She has been visiting scholar at the Institute of Computer and Communications Law (CCLS), Queen Mary University of London and scholarship holder at Max Planck Institute in Munich. She has widely researched and published in the field of Copyright and new technologies.
