SJ Klein on "Education, Development, and Content on the OLPC"

Samuel J. Klein of the One Laptop per Child Project joined the Berkman Luncheon Series today to discuss "Education, Development, and Content on the OLPC."

SJ expalined the process through which content is gathered and developed for the OLPC computers, opening us such issues for discussion as: improving access to and the quality of learning materials in developing countries, educational impacts of technology, licensing, and government standards.

SJ Klein is Director of Content for OLPC and has spent many years developing collaborative communities. He is an advocate for free universal access to knowledge and tools, and a veteran Wikipedian, founding the project's first newsletter and translator network, and helped organize last year's international Wikimedia conference in Cambridge.

This event was webcast live, but if you missed it, the audio/video of the discussion, including the Q&A will soon be available as a podcast at MediaBerkman.
