Keanu Reeves is an American [[actor]].  He was born on September 2, 1964 in Beruit, Lebanon.  His first name means "cool breeze over the mountains" in Hawaiian.

His first major film was [[Youngblood]] (1986), with [[Rob Lowe]], and his first popularly successful film was [[Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure]] (1989).  Indeed, much of Reeves subsequent public image has been haunted by the inane character Ted from that film.  His first major success, to this day, inhibits his acceptance as a serious actor.

To date, his best films have been [[The Matrix]] (1999), [[Dangerous Liasons]] (1988), and [[Much Ado About Nothing]] (1993).
