A cell form characterized by the presence of [[Pseudopods]], temporary cell projections involved in locomotion and feeding. The amoeboid protists are referred to as the [[Sarcodina]], although this is by no means a monophyletic group. Amoeboid cells are also found inside multicellular organisms - for instance, white blood cells are amoeboid.
