[[Aldous Huxley]] (1884-1963) Biography Born in the [[United Kingdom]] on 26 July 1894, died in [[California]] on 22 November 1963. He began writing in his early twenties. He wrote great novels on dehumanising aspects of scientific progress ([[Brave New World]]), and also pacifist novels ([[Eyeless in Gaza]]). After leaving [[Europe]] for [[California]] in 1937, his works were dominated by mysticism and [[hallucinogenic drugs]].
