Science Commons
- Science Commons, a new division of Creative Commons, will work to keep bio-medical and other scientific data and research - the lifeblood of science - moving more freely and openly. Students will work on creating a technology trust or patent pool of IP relevant to orphan diseases, crafting tech licensing agreements for research institutes that better reflect the public interest, preserving the public domain status of databases, and working with existing open source software projects and Semantic Web standards to preserve access to scientific data and scientific journal articles.
