With support from the Harvard Law School Library, the Berkman Center is revamping – recoding and reintegrating – a suite of classroom tools under its H2O banner. These include the Question Tool, a backchannel for live lecture feedback and questions; the Rotisserie, a structured forum for offline discussion of class content that encourages class members to interact with other students’ ideas; Playlists, a platform for collections of online content that are easily shared and remixed, and are ideal for use as an online course syllabus; and Collage, a new tool built with the goal of creating an entirely online law school casebook by allowing a seed document to be annotated with various layers and notes. The first online casebook is being planned for Professor Zittrain’s Fall 2010 Torts class.
