Carey Capone Andersen is the Staff Assistant at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. Carey began at the Center in August 2007. Her responsibilities include being the first point of contact for this dynamic, exciting and fast-paced research center. Carey serves as office manager for the Center, organizing facility issues, processing reimbursements and invoices, reconciling purchases, arranging travel, maintaining calendars and supporting the Managing Director and events/communication team. She maintains a welcoming atmosphere in the office.

Before arriving at the Berkman Center, Carey spent seven years as the Manager of Office Facilities at Cambridge Systematics, Inc., a transportation consulting firm located in Cambridge Massachusetts where she managed staff, spearheaded projects, and opened offices in locations as diverse as Atlanta, Chicago and Washington DC. Her experience is primarily administrative in nature, but she prides herself in finding new and creative solutions to office procedures. Carey is a 1996 cum laude graduate from Providence College.

Outside of work, Carey makes hand crafted jewelry and greeting cards. During the summer, you can usually find her on the beach in Sandwich, Massachusetts. She lives in Inman Square with her husband Eric.
