Adam Holland

Adam is a Project Coordinator at the Berkman Center, where he works on the Chilling Effects, Law Lab and Youth & Media projects. He has been involved with the Berkman Center since the summer of 2008, when he worked with Lewis Hyde on the “Freedom to Teach” Project. During the summer of 2009 he was a special RA for the Director, and has been looking for a way to get back to the Berkman ever since. He is frankly ecstatic to once again have the privilege of being part of such a vibrant and inspiring community of people.

Adam has a bachelor’s degree in Folklore & Mythology from Harvard College, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he authored or co-authored papers on collaborative law, bioethics and copyright reform.

In between those two stints at school he spent ten years training for the U.S. National Rowing Team, on which he won two World Championship medals and competed at the 1996 Olympic Games. He’d be glad to talk to you about training.

Outside of the Berkman, Adam coaches rowing and wrestling at nearby BB&N School, studies Brazilian jiu jitsu, reads as much science fiction as he can get his hands on, and adores his wife and two daughters. His role model is Batman, depending on who is writing him.
