Open Economies is a business-oriented, technology-savvy policy center at Harvard supporting developing country leadership to bridge digital divides. We are focused on digital entrepreneurship—promoting trade in digital goods and services originating in the developing world, and helping to encourage information and communication technology-based businesses around the world.

We are based at Harvard Law School, Berkman Center for Internet & Society. We are participants in the G-8 Group of Nations Digital Opportunity Task Force, the United Nations ICT Task Force, and the World Economic Forum Digital Divide Task Force. We are supported financially and through pro bono contributions by Hewlett-Packard, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and GeoPartners Ventures.
