Interop and Innovation
January 26, 2007
Last week, as part of the project on
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Interoperability, a field of experts gathered in Weissbaden, Switzerland for a workshop hosted by the
University of St. Gallen.
Berkman Center
Executive Director John Palfrey, a presenter at the workshop, descibed the process as "
one in a series of such small-group conversations intended both to foster discussion and to inform our own work in this area of interoperability and its relationship to innovation in the field that we study. This is among the hardest, most complex topics that I’ve ever taken up in a serious way." Read Palfrey's complete thought from
his blog.
Urs Gasser,
Berkman Fellow and Director of the
FIR-HSG for Information Law at the University of St. Gallen, also
posted his thoughts on the workshop.
