PRX Announces "Zeitfunk" Awards
January 14, 2005
It's a perversion of the German words "Zeit" (time) and "Funk" (radio), explains PRX founder and Berkman Fellow
Jake Shapiro. In other words, it's radio time.
Zeitfunk compiles 2004 statistics of the most popular audio content available on the
Public Radio Exchange (PRX), a web-based marketplace for public radio programming. Visit the PRX's Zeitfunk guides to listen for free to users' top picks for 2004. Winners include Prairie Home Production's "Pop Vultures," a radio series by
Benjamen Walker, and recordings of Annie Wu, an independent radio producer.
