Sam Hwang


Sam Hwang is an alumni of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an interdisciplinary major in Mechanical Engineering (with a concentration in Bioengineering and Entrepreneurial Management). He is interested in all areas of Internet Law, but particularly with issues regarding Intellectual Property protection on the Internet. At the Berkman Center, he has worked on the ICANN/Open Governance project and is currently working on the Digital Media in Asia project.

At MIT, Sam was the founder of the MIT Law Club and the MIT Law Journal. He was also active in the Undergraduate Association and in his fraternity, Phi Beta Epsilon

Sam is currently working as a technical specialist in the Cambridge office of the intellectual property law firm, Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner LLP.

When not working, Sam likes to participate in community service activities, hang out and explore Boston with his friends, spend time with his family in Atlanta, Georgia and play the guitar or the piano.
