Jeff Engerman is a student fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society and a third year student at Harvard Law School. Long before law school, Jeff graduated from The Evergreen State College. More recently, Jeff worked at the search engine Northern Light, participating in the ambitious effort to "categorize all of human knowledge" and trying to make it pay by delivering ads.
Jeff's work at the Berkman Center has been focused on the OpenNet Initiative's investigation of worldwide internet filtering, performing comparative analysis on the type of content targeted for filtering in subject countries and exploring the interplay between commercial software, web site categorization, and filtering decisions.
