The following chart provides a rough overview of both the regions/countries and treaties/legislations discussed in the Berkman paper, Transposing the Copyright Directive: Legal Protection of Technological Measures in EU-Member States. The focus of the paper – as indicated by the red frame below – is on the implementation of the European Copyright Directive (EUCD), which is aimed at implementing the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT) and the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT). The paper analyzes the implementation of the EUCD’s provisions on technological protection measures into the national laws of the EU member states.
