- Site structure
- Current Assignment: To add answers or responses to the site, you must begin at
the sign in screen. Since you must authenticate
yourself to the program before entering data, bookmarking interior pages will merely send
you back to the signin screen. This is not a bug, but a feature. The welcome page that
follows signin gives you a link from which you may edit your profile.
We recommend that you compose answers in a word processor or text editor and copy them to
the web form, to assure that you don't lose answers to a software bug or computer problem.
Once you have typed the answer, highlight the whole thing and press CTRL-C (or
Mac Command-C) to copy; move the cursor to the text box on the web form, and
press CTRL-V (Mac Command-V) to paste.
- Discussion: The discussion area is a threaded discussion distinct from the questions
and answers each week. This discussion runs off the Harvard Law School server, and
requires a Harvard username and password to enter. If you are on the Harvard network, your
username for this area is your email address, and your password is the password you use to
access email.
- Calendar: The calendar is a brief schedule of
discussion topics and guest speakers.
- Syllabus: The syllabus offers a more
detailed list of each topic's readings, with links to web material.
- Library: Browse the library for links other
participants have found useful, and add your own to the list.
- Class List: The class list displays
brief profiles of the participants. Clicking on any name gives you a more detailed profile
and a collection of that participant's answers to earlier questions. (The same profiles
and answers are available through the archive, as well.)
- Archive: The archive contains past
answers and responses, arranged both by question and by participant name. Answers wil be
displayed only after the question has closed (when answers are due).
- Software questions
- Please fill out bug reports with as many details as
possible when you have difficulty with the software. The details are extremely helpful in
trying to fix the problems.
- If you are unable to complete a given assignment because of software difficulties,
please email answers, along with a description of the problem, to help@cyber.law.harvard.edu so they can be
added to the database.
