You will be required to participate in the "Rotisserie," a weekly Net-mediated Q&A exchange. Each week, a question will be posted on the web site. The web site will require you to submit a response to each week's question by 10:00 a.m. each Monday. Responses are typically asked to be one page in length. Every student who submits an answer (on time) will receive someone else's answer via email and will be required to submit a typically-one-page critique/analysis/reaction of this response no later than 5:00pm that Wednesday. You can skip three question/critique pairs over the course of the semester. Responses for the first Rotisserie will be due on Monday, February 4. The Rotisserie due on Monday, April 8 will be used for peer review of paper topics (see below). The questions aren't meant to be onerous, and your answers aren't intended to be treatises. Log
In to the Rotisserie Memo re: Week 1 & 2 (same as email) You must be registered for the rotisserie in order to participate in it. Whether or not you are registered will depend on who you are: Law
Students: If you have not received both of the necessary emails by January 28th, you should do two things. 1) email us to let us know--please send the email to Rebecca Nesson at rnesson@cyber.law.harvard.edu; and 2) register yourself for the rotisserie. You can register for the rotisserie here. Our username convention for this course is Firstname_Lastname. Please use it. Also, you only need to fill in the *ed fields on the form. If you have previously registered to use the rotisserie for another course, you will have to use the password you used for that course. If you don't remember it, please email us. FAS
and other cross-registered students: You can register for the rotisserie here. Once you have registered you should receive a confirmation email telling you that the Bot has received your registration request. Because the course staff has to do it manually, it may take few days for you to receive the second email confirming that you have been accepted to the Rotisserie. You will not be able to log in to the rotisserie until you have received both of those emails. (When you have received both emails, please return to this site and try logging in.) If you have problems or questions during this process that aren't answered here, please email Rebecca Nesson at rnesson@cyber.law.harvard.edu. If you
would like to change your password for the rotisserie, you may do so
here.
It is your responsibility to make sure that you are registered in time to participate in the first rotisserie. If you are not, then you will have to use one of your skips for the first week of the rotisserie. Of course, if you are having trouble registering, we are here to help. Please email Becca at rnesson@cyber.law.harvard.edu. |
