Food For Thought DinnersFood for Thought Dinners are a Berkman Center tradition. We created Food for Thought in 2002 as a different type of "birds of a feather" gathering. Each dinner is assigned a leader, who has chosen a topic for discussion. Each group gathers at a restaurant near campus where good food and great conversation are had. Please note that each diner pays his or her own way. Only Internet Law Program attendees may sign up for the dinners. Food for Thought Dinners are entirely optional, but they are a great way to get to know people at iLaw who share your interests. Register for your dinner with Erica onsite. Dinners this year are: Mia Garlick, Creative Commons: What Will the Supreme Court Decide in Grokster? Nancy Scola, US House of Representatives: What Can the Internet Teach Washington? Will Richardson, Weblogg-Ed: Open Content: The Shifting Nature of Originality in the Collaborative Commons Roanie Levy, Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency: The Future of Collective Licensing in the Digital Environment Flora Chan, WGBH Public Television: IP & Public TV - Rights and Access An alternate event this year will take place at the Berkman Center, 1587 Massachusetts Avenue - the Berkman Center blog group will meet and offer tutorials and discussion on weblogs and wikis led by Rebecca MacKinnon and SJ Klein. Pizza will be served at this meeting. |
