March 7-10, 2000 Cairo, Egypt Note to Users Behind Firewalls Some additional configuration may be necessary to allow your RealPlayer to access our RealServers from behind a firewall. If you think your firewall is preventing you from accessing the livefeed, you should first try to access the Berkman Center Cairo stream -- hosted on a specially-configured firewall-friendly RealServer. If that doesn't work, try the ICANN RealServer. Failing that, check your Options-Preferences dialog box on the Transport tab; choose Use Specified Transports, press PNA Settings, and specify "Use HTTP Only" (G2 player; comparable settings also available in earlier versions of the software). If you're still stuck, send email to Berkman Center staff Ben Edelman and John Wilbanks describing your problem, what troubleshooting steps you've already taken, and any other information that may be helpful. We'll do our best to get the problem straightened out as quickly as possible. CONTACT INFORMATION For additional technical information, please contact: Ben Edelman and John Wilbanks |
