Copyright for Librarians Research Opportunities
Copyright for Librarians - A Distance Learning Course is a project from the Berkman Center for Internet & Society and eIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) developing a distance learning program on copyright targeted to librarians. Material will consist of course modules, interactive training, and multimedia resources, and should be available in September 2008 under a Creative Commons Attribution license on Connexions platform in interaction with H2O environment.
An expert group will participate to the course development and advise on various aspects:
- copyright law with an international perspective,
- librarians missions and issues,
- distance learning and open education methodology and technologies,
- developing and transition countries situation.
Spring 2008 Research Assistant Responsibilities:
We are looking for law students to perform research and help in the development and drafting of the course syllabus and material.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Applicants should have a background in copyright law, excellent research and writing skills, and an interest in libraries and developing countries context and issues, open education resources and/or online learning methodologies.
Research assistants should be able to come at the Berkman Center once a week, and may work otherwise remotely.
