Winter Evidence '98 - Professor Charles Nesson
Microsoft Antitrust Investigation
Professor Larry Lessig as Special Master

The Winter Evidence '98 class attempted to put ourselves in the shoes of Mr. William Gates attorneys. We examined the Microsoft empire in software through its historic rise and current Antitrust problems. One extremely interesting aspect of the recent ongoing Justice Department examinations of Microsoft was the recent appointment, and subsequent suspension, of Harvard Law School Professor Larry Lessig as "Special Master" to the court reviewing the case. Professor Lessig is well know among the members of the course and the legal battle over his appointment was a focus of many hours of class time. Below are some of the materials we found and generated to share our thoughts with each other and with you.
