Help
This software was developed at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School, for Jonathan Zittrain's Internet & Society Seminar. In the class, it is used to spark discussions on the weekly topics: each student's answers to the week's questions are circulated to another student for response. It is designed to offer a variation on the one-to-many format of discussion boards by creating pairings for one-to-one conversation.

We are in the process of generalizing the software, so you may still find references to "classes" or "lessons."

Site structure
Current: To add answers to the current questions, begin at the sign in screen. Since you must authenticate yourself to the program before entering data, bookmarking interior pages will merely send you back to the signin screen. This is not a bug, but a feature. The welcome page that follows signin gives you a link from which you may edit your profile.
Syllabus: The syllabus offers a schedule of topics and readings, with links to web material.
Group List: The class list displays brief profiles of the participants. Clicking on any name gives you a more detailed profile and a collection of that participant's answers to earlier questions. (The same profiles and answers are available through the archive, as well.)
Archive: The archive contains past answers and responses, arranged both by question and by participant name. Answers wil be displayed only after the question has closed (when answers are due).
Software questions
Please fill out bug reports with as many details as possible when you have difficulty with the software. The details are extremely helpful in trying to fix the problems.
