Dave (SamBivalent) from soulvasq has made a recommendation for a concept for the video.  This is only an idea, and is intended to give those involved in the project something to chew on and possibly get ideas from.  Here goes:

----
overview - mostly "filmed" in black and white, very "normal" realistic surroundings most of the time, but every now and again we get a glimpse of something unusual in "squares" that are in full color.

vague storyline -
the "main character" is going about a normal life doing ordinary things in ordinary surroundings - but in each scene we see the full color squares with something unusual in it in the background (i'm trying to leave details to a minimum).  the main character does not see them, they happen out of his/her view, or go apparently unnoticed.
at some point, the character goes to sleep and dreams.  this section would be in full color and contain whatever coolness your group can think of.  i think the dream section would likely be somewhat short.
upon waking, the character goes about daily life again (still in black and white), but this time is seen noticing the colored squares.  perhaps as a conclusion the character could interact with one of them somehow.

and that's it, in a nutshell.  i've posted some images to give you an idea of what i mean by "colored squares":

an obstacle to this idea in general is if the editor(s) can do the "squares" thing.  they would of course be moving with the camera/scenery, which might be difficult/time consuming.
