New-K Karaoke Bar is a karaoke establishment located in Agel in Second Life. The karaoke bar allows visitors to perform karaoke songs and dance to other visitors' performances. There are karaoke competitions held each month which offer 1000 Linden dollars to the performer who receives the most votes.

New-K Karaoke Bar is large nightclub which is centered around a dancefloor and a large stage where visitors can perform karaoke songs of their choosing. The walls are decorated with posters dedicated to famous real life music acts such as AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix. The dance floor tends to be populated by people dancing and enjoying the performances. There are lights of different colors and patterns which shine down on the stage and the dance floor to create an atmosphere similar to a real life night club. Several patrons said that they frequent New-K Karaoke Bar often and that people are generally friendly and supportive of the other performers, making it a welcoming place for both newcomers and regulars.
Music
Visitors to New-K Karaoke Bar perform by utilizing Voice over IP technology. This allows visitors to perform their vocals live over the internet using the voice chat feature in Second Life. Visitors can choose any song if they are able to supply the backing music, but New -K Karaoke also provides a large catalog of backing music with the relevant lyrics. Visitors can also play a variety of musical instruments using Voice over IP by playing the instrument through voice chat. There are guitars and a drum set on stage which visitors can pick up and perform while holding.
