IBM’s Innovation Island is the front door of the impressive blue and white IBM presence in SL It is a huge site and I discovered you could move around on it easily by clicking on the map. There are huge auditoriums suggesting big SL presentations, but the seats were empty last night. The most useful learning thing I found at a late hour was a notice about SL tutorials on the IBM developerworks/community site. The few active residents there during my visit were not particularly interested in my education quest, or responsive to questions. I am not sure why they were in an IBM auditorium. But one avatar did ask me if I liked live music and asked me to join the Fantasy girls fan club. So now I'm a fan. I turned on my streaming audio to hear the live music in question.
