Depo Business Hub in Depo Business Park

Codexx Business Innovation Consultants seem to have a SL consulting practice at this location. Using Search I found a live event in process. It was a presentation (with discussion) on Making Law Firms More Innovative.

There were 7 or 8 avatars sitting in a conference room with a big screen for a slide presentation. The moderator asked me to enable Voice Chat and I could hear the interaction, although without a mike I could not speak. I could hear the presenter, the host from the Business Hub (with a British accent) and those in the audience who were using voice chat as well. There were conversations going on in both voice and conventional chat.

I think the brain reacts differently to this than to an Internet seminar where you are clearly not present. Being in the SL conference room is like being pseudo present, and I sense there is a subtle difference in my response. You are as there as you can be, and it feels connected. The host offered to let me drop by his office any time for some more information about learning in SL.

One thing nice about this stop as opposed to others on my journey this week is that because I chose to visit this location for an event there were people to interact with and learn from.
