Better World Island

Better World Island has numerous exhibits and missions to better the world. One of the ones I thought portrayed a great opportunity to test out virtual experiencial learning was the Center for Water Studies. The smaller island off the main island is pictured below.

In this center they have a number of different water eco-systems. There are notecards and learning placards around, they also let you virtually experience each eco-system and interact with them to a certain degree.

For instance, I could drive under water to see a recreation of under water ocean life. I could also ride the waves, wade in the pond, and sail in a sailboat.

While it was certainly visually interesting to see all these water systems and the wild life inside them, I'm not certain if this environment promotes learning. Will people go to these sights to learn or just to view the scenery?
