ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- Jonathan L. Zittrain, Alexander
Macgillivray and Charles Nesson, all from Cambridge, Mass., and
Wendy Seltzer of New York, have developed a method for organizing a
dialogue of messages between a moderator and a number of
participants in communication over a network.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for facilitating communications over a network among participants and a moderator includes a question module for asking questions, receiving responses, grouping participants, and providing responses to other participants in a group for further response."
The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,107,311 on Sept. 12.
