  • Suggestion:
  • can't we reserve second tables for the dinners which seem with huge waiting lists - e.g. the Gene Koo, and the David Weinberger ones? Veni Markovski 12:59, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
    • Yes, I just did :-) Power to the blogger -- PHB
    • We've found over the years that these discussions work best when the group is small enough for everyone to easily talk to each other. But there's nothing stopping more dinners from being planned! Anyone can spearhead a new dinner. Talk to a Berkman staffer about finding a local restaurant and getting a table reserved.
      • We can have two groups of 8 having 2 discussions on the same topic in the same restaurant, though. I'm considering doing that with media, which is almost full before even being on the wiki.
  • Thanks, guys. See you at the second table :) Veni Markovski 14:41, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Perhaps we can do the Oxford desert thing and re-org tables at the desert course.

Food for Thought dinners will take place on May 15th at 8:00 pm after the cocktail reception. The dinners allow conference attendees to engage in informal, themed conversation with other conference participants. We’ve made the reservations—all you have to do is show up and enjoy! Please note that attendees will pay their own dinner costs.

Attendance is limited to eight people per dinner. Please add your name to the dinner you want to attend below. If you decide not to attend a dinner to which you are signed up, please delete yourself from the list. If you have any questions, please email Amar at ashar@cyber.law.harvard.edu.

Restaurant locations and maps are listed with each dinner. For restaurants in Harvard Square, expect approximately a 10 minute walk from the final plenary session in Ames Courtroom on May 15. For restaurants in Porter Square, expect approximately a 15 minute walk from Ames.

Maps for each restaurant are available at the registration table outside Ames.

Improtant wait list/drop off info: When you add yourself to the wait list for a dinner, please to include your contact contact info. If you sign up but decide not to attend a dinner, please contact the first person on the wait list. Thank you!
