The screenshot below shows a comparison of Google searches for playboy using an ordinary Google search with all filtering disabled (left pane) versus using SafeSearch in its intermediate mode ("filter explicit images only") (right). The results are identical; SafeSearch's intermediate mode fails to cause the blocking of any of the top ten results for 'playboy.'
