Virtual Event: In Principle and in Practice

VIDEO & PODCAST: Featuring Jessica Fjeld and Ryan Budish

Companies, organizations, and governments around the world are implementing or endorsing principles for Artificial Intelligence. Berkman Klein community members took notice: a Berkman Klein research team created a visualization for mapping these documents by theme, and others at the Center are involved in global efforts to create and publish such principles.

This talk features Jessica Fjeld, assistant director of the Cyberlaw Clinic and lead author on the “Principled AI” report, in conversation with Ryan Budish, an assistant research director at Berkman Klein and member of OECD’s AI Governance Expert Group, which proposed high-level AI principles. Fjeld and Budish discuss AI principles both generally (the high level landscape in which they exist) and in practice (the creation and implementation process for principles.)
